Project Description:

Laing O’Rourke engaged Dwyer Engineering for the supply of Structural Steel Conveyor Modules for Conveyor CV1103 and CV104, for the Argyle Underground Expansion.

This essentially was 3km of conveyors used to transport iron ore from the mines. Dwyer Engineering were required to supply materials, fabricate, surface treat and load onto provided transport Structural Steel Conveyor Modules including all packers, link plates and attachment brackets, roof attachment brackets, all link plates and packers, Telescopic Ties and all Structural Bolts.

We also supplied Pump Station  No 1 (40 ton), 103/104 Transfer station (40 ton), 104/109 Transfer Station (160 ton), top picture. 

The project started with one package of conveyors, but ended up at approximately 45 packages, smaller as larger. The project lasted for approximately one year until Rio Tinto unfortunately cancelled CV103 expansion.
