Indigenous Policy

Dwyer Engineering and Construction is committed to creating a strong relationship with Indigenous people and their communities.

Steps to achieving these commitments are to:

Develop partnerships between the resource industry, indigenous communities and government, this can contribute to improving the livelihoods of Indigenous people in Western Australia.

Develop strong relationships with Indigenous people to ensure cross cultural sensitivities are understood.

Ensuring Indigenous people are encouraged to apply for positions within Dwyer Engineering and Construction.

Establishment of an Indigenous training program, in conjunction with Indigenous community groups, where the skill set of Indigenous people is identified and furthered through training.

Striving to achieve a target of 10% Indigenous employment by 2014

Improving senior management understanding of key Indigenous issues through training and communication with the Indigenous community.
